Some Questions about SLEUTH and LINUX

Some Questions about SLEUTH and LINUX

posted 02-26-2010 09:08 AM
I am PhD student, and I want to use SLEUTH in my thesis and I have some questions.
Firstly, SLEUTH is running under LINUX but I haven’t used Linux yet. Have I got any problems using both Linux and Windows and installing SLEUTH in my laptop?
Secondly, do I need to know advanced C programming language for creating simulation model using with SLEUTH?
And last one, how much time do I need to learn SLEUTH?
Thank’s for your interests.

Easiest is to use the cygwin UNIX emulator. See http://www.cygwin.com and the user forum questions.

No, but it would help if you have problems. Follow the website documentation carefully, and use past questions from this forum as a guide.

And last one, how much time do I need to learn SLEUTH?

I have had people up and running with the model in just an hour or two. It takes years to master! Most of the time you will find is taken up by preparing your data.

    good luck!
